About Salatpedia
What is Salatpedia?
Salatpedia is a dedicated Hijri calendar and prayer times website serving Muslims in the Arab world and in the West with accurate, fast and lightweight tools, in Arabic and English. No account, no app install — every tool is completely free.
What makes us different?
We use the official Umm al-Qura calendar issued by Umm al-Qura University in Makkah as our primary reference for Hijri–Gregorian conversion, and we calculate prayer times with precise astronomical equations, supporting the major calculation methods adopted across the Muslim world. Our full methodology page discloses exactly how every result is computed, so you can verify it yourself.
Our tools
Two-way Hijri–Gregorian date conversion, a Hijri age calculator, a date difference calculator, monthly prayer times with qibla direction for every city (e.g. Mecca), a moon phase tool, printable Ramadan imsakia timetables, and the full Hijri calendar with months, years and Islamic occasions.
Data sources
The Umm al-Qura calendar from the official portal ummulqura.org.sa, city coordinates from the open GeoNames database, and time zones from the official IANA database. Full details on the methodology and sources page.
Editorial & calculation team
All astronomical calculations and calendar tables on Salatpedia are routinely reviewed by our editorial and astronomical calculation team against the latest official astronomical data and published calendars, and cross-checked against independent sources before publication.
Who is it for?
For anyone who needs today’s Hijri date, wants to convert a date, check prayer times in their city, or find the qibla direction — in one tap, with no sign-up and no app install.
